TEHRAN (FNA)- Police attempted to suppress protests as demonstrators decried Erdogan’s AKP-led government and the declining value of the Lira, in Istanbul on Wednesday. The Turkish Lira lost 15 percent on the US dollar on Tuesday alone after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan defended recent rate cuts.
