Protesters March in London Calling for Help Amid Cost-of-Living Crisis

TEHRAN (FNA)- The National Education Union - Britain's largest teachers' union - said it is preparing to hold a ballot of its 450,000 members which could lead to strikes in schools across England this autumn (NEU leader Kevin Courtney top right). Meanwhile, the country's biggest union representing NHS staff, Unison, said the government risks triggering widespread resignations and industrial action in hospitals if it refuses to offer pay increases close to inflation (Unison gen sec. Christina McAnea bottom right). Warnings of large-scale industrial action across the public services comes as union leaders confirmed that next week's rail and Tube strikes will go ahead after talks to resolve a bitter row over pay, jobs and conditions. And thousands of protestors (left) took to Parliament Square today to protest the government's handling of the cost of living crisis. [VIDEO]
