Iran’s 10-Month Steel Ingot Output Nearly 19mln Tons
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran produced over 18.7 million tons of steel ingot in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2020- January 19, 2021), according to the statistics of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the statistical tables, 18,750,185 tons of steel ingot were produced by steel production units affiliated to IMIDRO as well as major industrial and mineral companies, setting a seven percent increase compared to last year’s same period.
1,681,192 tons of steel ingot were produced in the month of Dey (December 21- January 19), showing a four percent growth compared to the same period last year.
A relevant report in December showed that Iran’s steel ingot exports exceeded 3.7 million tons during the first 8 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20- November 20), indicating a 13% decrease in comparison with the same period last year.
