TEHRAN (FNA)- Spokesman of Iran's Food and Drug Organization (IFDA) Kianoush Jahanpour said that 250,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine donated by the Chinese government to Iran are sent to Iran.
“250,000 doses of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine have been loaded and sent to Iran,” Jahanpour said on Saturday, adding that the shipment will be delivered to Tehran in the coming days.
“The Chinese shipment is donated and will be used in nationwide vaccinations against COVID-19 over the coming days and weeks,” he noted.
In relevant remarks on Monday, Kianoush Jahanpour said that Chinese coronavirus vaccine (Sinopharm) has been licensed for import, adding that 250,000 doses of the vaccine will enter the country in near future.
“In the first phase, 250,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine donated by China will arrive in Iran,” Jahanpour said on Monday, adding, “The issuance of conditional permit means that the producer has to inform Iran of the results of clinical studies in regular intervals.”
