Iran, South Korea Vow to Broaden Bilateral Ties
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and outgoing South Korean Ambassador to Iran Ryu Jeong-Hyun in a meeting in Tehran underlined the need to broaden mutual cooperation in different fields.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Sunday, Zarif and Ryu Jeong-Hyun explored avenues for bolstering nd reinvigorating bilateral relations in political, economic and cultural fields.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on regional and international developments.
In a relevant development in early April, South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun visited Tehran to talk with Iranian officials on unblocking the Islamic Republic’s frozen assets in Seoul.
Chung arrived in Tehran and was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami.
On his three-day visit to Iran, the South Korean premier discussed ways to improve Tehran-Seoul relations, specially unfreezing of Iran’s revenues.
