IRGC Dismantles Terrorist Team in Southeast of Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps announced that the forces of its Qods Base smashed a terrorist band in Nikshahr County of Sistan and Balouchestan province, Southeast of Iran.
“A terrorist team was totally dismantled in Nikshahr County,” IRGC Qods Base announced in a statement on Friday, adding that two members of the team have been killed during the operation.
The statement noted that the terrorist team had recently martyred two Basij volunteer forces in the province.
It went on to say that some equipment and ammunition were seized from the terrorists during the operation.
Last week, two members of volunteer Basij forces were martyred in clashes with terrorists in the Iranian Southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.
“Two Basiji forces, who were engaged in an exchange of gunfire with terrorists on the outskirts of Hichan village on Friday [May 7] evening, were martyred,” Commander of Basij forces in Nikshahr County Ali Akbar Safavi said.
He identified the martyrs as Khodabakhsh Gharib and Moslem Darzadeh.
