TEHRAN (FNA)- Retired US General Lawrence Wilkerson said that Israel will not exist as a state in 20 years because it delegitimizes itself as an apartheid state.
General Wilkerson, who served as Chief of Staff to former Secretary of State Colin Powell, made these strong statements at the “Mass Peace Talk” conference of neo-conservatives, statements that were highlighted by Mondes with complete disregard from other US media, according to Al-Quds Al-Arabi.
The general added that the United States of America must now ask Israel to “change quickly”, or else it would stop funding and protecting Israel, but the general himself predicted that the United States would not.
Wilkerson reportedly said that Israel is a “first-class strategic responsibility of the United States, and is the country most likely in the world to take the United States to Armageddon".
The general revealed that the neo-conservative agenda in the Middle East is based on “setting fire to the Levant” and preoccupying “enemies of Israel” with other problems so that they do not cause problems for Israel.
Wilkerson added he hopes that getting rid of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former President Donald Trump and his aide Jared Kushner will ease the situation, to the point of having a government in Israel that understands the dangers of its future.
The general indicated that the world will reject Israel because it is an apartheid state like South Africa, stressing that it will not be a state but will disappear.
The general also revealed that, during 40 years of military service, he had heard constant advice from everyone not to establish an American military base in Israel.
He stressed that the United States standing with Israel against half the world is not a good thing.
“Israel needs to be reined in and must be told in no uncertain terms that it must change,” he noted, but again indicated that would not happen.
Wilkerson pointed out that the obsession of the “neo-conservatives” is to set the region on fire, and it does not matter where: in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq or Iran, the important thing is to protect Israel.
