Iranian President Inaugurates Several Development Projects

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi inaugurated tens of development and infrastructure projects across the country via video conference on Thursday.

Rayeesi inaugurated nearly 82 development, industrial and agricultural projects in a number of free trade and special economic and industrial zones.

The projects have been implemented in different cities, including Kish, Qeshm, Bushehr, Parsian, Sahlan and Namin in Southern Iran as well as Lorestan Province in the West.

They will create 8,000 jobs directly and indirectly.

Earlier this year, Iran had also started the operational phase of 48 major industrial projects across the country in a ceremony participated by President Rayeesi.

During the ceremony, the operational phase of 48 projects kicked off in 13 provinces and 27 towns.

Gol Gohar Mining and Industrial Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Mining and Steel Development Investment Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company have made the necessary investments of these projects.

These projects would bring about $11bl annual exports and produce 54mln tons of mineral, metal, and oil refinery products worth $20bl.

They would also create 24,000 direct and 64,000 indirect jobs.
