2023-March-17 17:25Russia Hails Tehran-Riyadh Resumption of Diplomatic Ties
TEHRAN (FNA)- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian welcomed the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia on the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the phone talk, Lavrov said that the agreement signed by Tehran and Riyadh will help to regional stability.
The war in Ukraine, the technical cooperation between Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog, as well as disputes between Syria and Turkey were among those issues.
Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of their relations on March 10, 2023 under a deal brokered by China, agreeing to open embassies within two months.
