2023-October-1 15:07Iran Terms Normalization with Israel Retrograde Step

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi rapped any act in line with normalizing relations with the Zionist regime, labeling the move as regressive which is the will of trans-regional powers.
Iran’s president made the comments in an address to the opening ceremony of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran on Sunday.
Rayeesi stressed that attempts to normalize ties with Israel are seen as a “retrograde move” for any government as it is what the foreigners want.
“The way to confront the enemy is not through compromise and surrender but through resistance and resilience,” he stated.
“The option of surrender and compromise are by no means on the table; resistance and resilience against the enemy has paid off and will force the enemy to retreat,” the president added.
He cautioned that sacrilegious acts such as the desecration of the holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), heinous crimes by Takfiri terrorist groups, normalization with the Zionist regime as well as media campaigns spearheaded by the enemies are meant to deter the Islamic Ummah.
“The enemy intends to disappoint the Islamic Ummah about the future by propagating the idea that only everything it wants and wishes will happen, but the Islamic Ummah has foiled such plots,” the Iranian president underlined.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the chief executive said the liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine is “the most important indicator of the unity of the Islamic Ummah”.
He urged Muslim scholars and thinkers to prepare themselves for assuming an important role in the new world order by promoting cohesion, unity, and proximity of faiths.
“Muslims and the Islamic world must establish themselves in the new order, disrupt the current unjust order, and create a just order in the world,” President Rayeesi stated, stressing that the Islamic Ummah will play a key role in the emerging world order.
He also called for the further consolidation of the Islamic Ummah’s unity in the face of threats posed by Takfiri terror outfits.
“Takfiri groups' horrific crimes perpetrated in mosques and religious centers, explosions in Pakistan and Afghanistan and massacre of people as well as crimes by the US and the Zionist regime’s henchmen in various Islamic countries, entail promoting unity among the Islamic Ummah to confront the Takfiri current,” the president underscored.

Back in 2020, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain signed United States-brokered agreements with Israel to normalize their relations with the Tel Aviv regime. Some other regional states, namely Sudan and Morocco, followed suit soon afterward.
Palestinian officials censured the deal between the Arab countries and Israel to establish normal diplomatic relations, describing the agreement as a “treacherous stab in the back of the Palestinian nation”.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned about the serious threat posed to the West Asian region by Israel, and stressed that normalization of ties with Tel Aviv will not bring security and stability to the regional Arab states.
President Rayeesi has recently cautioned that Israel is seeking to normalize ties with Arab states to dash the Palestinian people's hopes of liberating their motherland, but meanwhile said that the Zionist regime's all-out efforts will be futile as the Muslim nations are the most serious opponents of the Abraham Accord.
He also stated that supporters of normalization with Israel have come to realize that standing against Tel Aviv is the sole way to stop the regime's aggression against the Palestinians, and added that the power of resistance groups has driven the Zionist regime closer to downfall.
Tehran says the history of the apartheid regime is full of assassinations, massacre, torture and killing of Palestinian kids, and described Tel Aviv regime's atrocities and massacre of Palestinian women and children as indicative of the destitute of Zionists. Iranian officials say the Tel Aviv regime has been struggling for more than 70 years to exit its identity crisis which has been mixed with genocide, plunder, forced displacement and scores of other inhumane moves.
