Land of Headless Palms, A Symbol of Iranian Resistance in Iraqi Imposed War
TEHRAN (FNA)- During the Iraqi imposed war against Iran in 1980-88, Iraqi forces set fire to the groves of Arvand Kanar city, Khuzestan province, Southern Iran. The remnants of these groves, which have become known as the "Land of Headless Palms", are today a symbol of the eight years of resistance of the Iranian people in the imposed war. [PHOTOS]
